About Me
I am a caregiver coach who compassionately partners with clients to explore their needs and concerns, and set and achieve meaningful goals. I draw on a variety of coaching models, tools, and exercises; maintain a whole-person, culturally sensitive approach; and offer inspiration and motivation throughout the coaching process.
I work with individuals who are preparing to become caregivers, those currently in caregiving roles, and those whose caregiving has ended. I support clients facing a wide range of challenges, including emotional and stress management, self-care, grief and loss, communication, relationships, work-life-identity balance, and the practical complexities of caregiving. My clients care for adults and/or children experiencing physical health, mental health, and other life issues.
My coaching is deeply informed by my own life experiences and professional background. I have been a direct family caregiver, a supporter of friends and family in caregiving roles, and a survivor of family suicide. I have over 25 years of experience as a coach (with ICF PCC, caregiver coaching, life transitions, cognitive behavioral, emotional intelligence, EQi-2.0, and career and leadership coaching certifications), psychotherapist, university educator and advisor, researcher, manager, management consultant, Mental Health First Aid instructor, advocate, mentor, and board member.
I hold a PhD in Social Policy Administration and Community Mental Health from Columbia University, and a MA in Social Science/Human Development and a BA in Behavioral Science from the University of Chicago.
